Staying at Leikanger Fjordhotel felt like a cozy escape. The views from the balcony were stunning, really capturing the essence of Norway. The room had comfortable chairs and a good bed, making it easy to relax. The staff truly impressed me with their attentiveness, from helping find a babysitter for our puppy to their warm service during meals. Dinner was a true highlight. the food was wonderful and the ambiance lovely, though I noticed the waiter struggled with English, which led to some mistakes with our order. I wish the breakfast had more variety. it was decent but nothing special. Although the hotel is a bit dated, it still has a charming vibe reflective of Norwegian culture. One draw back was the cleanliness in the bathroom, which could have been better. Despite a slight smell in the room which lingered, I had a comfortable stay overall.

The truth, what’s good and what’s not
Beautiful location and very friendly staff made my stay memorable! The outdoor seating areas offered great views while winding down after a day of exploration.
Noise issues from external music kept me awake most of the night, making it hard to enjoy my stay despite the cozy surroundings. Also, some room decor felt outdated.

9/10
Dude, the vibes here were totally chill! We scored a room with, like, the sickest fjord view. Breakfast was super tasty, and the whole old-school charm of the place just hit differently. Also, the staff was rad, even helped us with recommendations for local hikes. Kinda wish the sauna was working, tho!

Incredible views with charming staff
The stunning fjord views were a breathtaking treat each morning. We enjoyed the cozy outdoor seating area, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. The attentive staff really made our stay special.
While the buffet was presented creatively, the limited menu options were a letdown on our second night. Additionally, the decor felt a bit outdated, and parking was somewhat tricky.

The room was cozy, with a lovely view, and I really enjoyed the sauna and garden for some relaxation. Just a heads up, there's no elevator, which made lugging my suitcase up the stairs a bit tricky. Overall, it's a great place to unwind! 😊

We had a fantastic time exploring the hiking trail from the hotel to Leikanger Mountain. The stunning views made it a memorable adventure for our five kids. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet that catered to everyone, making it a great start to our day.
My wife says that the lack of simple kids' activities made it challenging to keep them entertained during downtime.
